●I am a parent who doesn't speak Japanese. Will that cause any problems?

It won't be a problem since our school has both native English-speaking teachers and Japanese teachers who also speak English. You'll be able to speak English with any of the staff anytime.

●This is the first time my child will enter a full-time preschool, so I'm a little worried...

All parents are a little worried at first when their children enter preschool for the first time. Some children take easily to their first day of preschool and some children may cry the first few days, but rest assured our caring teachers are always looking to help make each child's transition into full-time preschool as easy as possible.

●Why do people choose your school?

There are several reasons parents choose our school:
・So children can start using English daily at an early age
・So children can develop an interest in Japanese and world cultures and grow internationally-minded
・So children can develop motivation, cooperation skills, and consideration
・So children can develop proper, healthy life habits
・So children can get used to doing group activities and develop good communication skills

●How big are your classes?

We maintain small group sizes to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for all children. Classes are taught by a native English-speaking teacher and a Japanese teacher.

●My spouse and I both work. What time should I pick my child up in the afternoon?

Our usual full-time hours are 9:00am to 6:00pm. If you need to drop your child off earlier or pick your child up later than those times, we offer extended care hours at an additional cost. Please contact the school for details.

●Do you have events that parentsare allowed to participate?

Events such as our Sports Day and Halloween dress parade, we regularlyask for volunteers tohelp. Additionally, we hold guardian interviews in the spring and autumn.

●Do you have a summer and winter vacations?

Yes, we have both summer and winter vacations, which last about one week.

●Do you have a school lunches?

School lunchesare available and can be ordered on by menu on a monthly basis or by the morning of the day the meal is needed. However, please note if your child has allergies we request that you bring your own lunch.

●Do you snack breaks?

Children who are enrolled in the full-time course are given snacks after their naptime. It varies, but usually consists of rice crackers, cookies, jelly, and the like.
For children who are enrolled in the extended stay beyond 18:10, we also give them snacksat 18:00.
※ Children who have allergies must bring their own snacks.

●Do you assign homework?

While homework is not assigned, it is possible to take home textbooks and workbooks to be used at home overnight if you wish.

●Can short-time and full-time courses be mixed by day throughout the week?

Because the courses are schedule monthly, you cannot mix them on a weekly basis. However, it is possible to change on a monthly basis if you wish.
※Please keep in mind that this is dependent on: space available on the days requested andavailability of extensionfrom the short time course for the days requested. Also, you may if for some reasonleave early on a given full-time day.

●Is there a transfer in the case of holiday or absent?

As lesson plans and curriculum are created on a monthly time period, monthly, weekly, or dailytransfer are not possible.

●Is there a sibling discount?

We are sorry, but no sibling discounts are offered.

●Is it possible to have a long-term absence at home?

Yes, however we will retain half of that month’s childcare fees.
