Preschool: Full-time

Children will learn to spend time away from their parents for a few hours a day and gain independence while learning in an English-speaking environment!
Through our full-time program, children will have the ability to develop fluency in English.
Early childhood education is important for a child's development, especially when learning languages.
At this age, children can learn languages naturally and can become bilingual through daily exposure to two languages.
Preschool-age children are able to absorb new things and rapidly learn. We will teach them not only the alphabet and numbers,
but various topics in a fun English education program.
Children will also develop good communication skills through interaction with native-English speaking teachers and classmates.

About Circle Time

2-year-old class
In the 2-year-old class, our goal is to lay the foundation of what life will be like in preschool for the child,
allowing you to spend each day with peace of mind knowing that your child is being well taken care of and prepared for their next year in school.
In consideration to the individual differences of each student's growth, we do our best to extend the natural characteristics and abilities of each child to the fullest.
While English will not be completely understood in the beginning, we believe that through various activities, games,
and spending time with with English speaking staff members each day,
it is possible, through immersion, to acquire English abilities much more quickly, naturally, and with ease; similar to how a native English speaking child would learn.

3-year-old class
In the 3-year-old class, our lessons will be filled with focused English instruction as well as physical instruction,
teaching the children how to use their bodies.
The heart and core of our lessons are to enable the child to learn, speak, and be able to properly use vocabulary necessary for daily and preschool life.
Incorporated into our classes are a variety of crafts and productions related to the seasons and international events.
They will also enjoy daily singing and dancing, all while nurturing the ability to speak and hear spoken English.
It is the first time for most children this age to be entering any form of school,
so we make it a special point to support the child as they become accustomed little by little to school life.
English is taught primarily through play and activity,
so we try to create an exciting environment for the child that imparts the feeling that "English is fun!"

4-year-old class
Children in the 4-year-old class will be able to smoothly and easily communicate in English.
Rather than passive learning during circle time lessons, we actively involve the students in discussion and activities requiring thought and insight.
As the child's confidence grows, they are able to speak and give brief presentations in front of friends and classmates.
With this newly found confidence, the child grows more motivated to speak in English.
In order to bring about class unity and a mutual respect for the ideas and thoughts of others,
manners and proper listening are instilled while their classmates speak.
The 4-year-old class is also where the children will begin their reading and writing lessons.
They begin with learning and practicing how to write their name, recognition of the lower case alphabet,
and learning to read some of the most commonly used words.

5-year-old class
In this class, critical thinking and the ability to clearly express one's thoughts are of particular emphasis.
The classes are not only focused on day-to-day living, but expanded to think outside of school.
The children will gradually become able to discuss a variety of subjects, such as parks, living in the city, Japan, and the world.
They'll also be able to think and talk about certain themes and the universes around them, such as how people around the world live, the dinosaurs,
and subjects which help to bring out the child's naturally inquisitive mind.
The class will have a stronger focus on English reading and writing, reinforced by having been surrounded in an English atmosphere for the past 2 to 3 years.
We look to instill the abilities to read picture books to oneself, write basic letters, make cards, and give speeches for holidays such as
Mother's Day, Father's Day, Respect your Elders Day, Christmas, etc.
