With elementary schools, a junior high school, parks, and community centers nearby, it is a comfortable environment for children.

Okano Park

Okano Park

Okano Park is located just 5 minutes away on foot from Sunrise. The park is not only rich in natural surroundings, but also equipped with a playground.
There are many trees and flowers of all kinds that grow around the baseball field. In the springtime, many colorful tulips and cosmos fill the air with a lovely fragrance.
Thanks to many volunteer gardeners, there are also many lovely roses that bloom each year.
Okano Park serves as a lovely place of recreation and relaxation for people of all ages.

Aratamagawa Ryokuchi Park

Aratamagawa Ryokuchi Park

This fun playground is just a hop and a skip away from Sunrise Kids International School. Just 3 minutes away on foot, it is located just in front of Okano Bridge. It is always lively with children playing.
There is a jungle gym, a swing set and plenty of space for children to run and play freely or take a break under the shade of the trees.

Sengendai Miharashi Park

This beautiful park overlooks the Minato Mirai disctrict.
It is located past the T-junction in front of the Miyagaya Elementary School, just up a hill past the Sengendai Care Plaza.
The park has sprawling hills of green grass.
Japanese style benches and stone lanterns near the tower make a relaxing place during a morning stroll. One may even be lucky enough to see a rainbow while strolling the park grounds.
Being on a hill, it also makes a great place to watch the clouds or gaze at the sky.

Yokohama English Garden

Yokohama English Garden

After just a 5-minute walk from Shin-Yokohama Station, one can find a large English garden that houses a herb & vegetable garden, a white garden, a rose garden, and a terracotta garden.
The "Yokohama Rose" grows here. English-style gardens grow well here and the plants are well-suited for the climate of Yokohama.
The garden also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, such as lectures with guest speakers and special flower shows.

Nogeyama Park

Nogeyama Park

Nogeyama Park is located on the top of a hill and has panoramic views of the Minato Mirai 21 district. There is also a free zoo in the park. The zoo is home to over 100 animals, including lions, giraffes, chimpazees, red pandas, and penguins. It is a favorite sport for many local families to spend the day.
At Nogeyama Park, there are also about 400 cherry blossom trees and it is a popular place to have a cherry blossom picnic. In the rose garden, over 56 varieties of roses bloom each year. There are many other varieties of flowers also in bloom throughout the different seasons of the year.
