Hello and welcome to April’s special lesson blog!
This month everyone at Sunrise put lots and lots of work into preparing for our big Easter party! In the afternoons leading up to the big day, the Fluttery Butterflies (with the help of the Shinies) made beautiful rabbit hats for the entire school to wear. We cut, glued, stapled and learned how to tie two rubber bands together – all very useful new skills! During the week, each class also made their own Easter baskets to put any eggs they found at the party in them. It was lots of work but lots of fun too!
Finally the big day arrived! The Sunrise kids were split into two teams and each team hid their eggs in either Clover or Daisy room. Then the teams switched classrooms and searched high and low for any eggs they could find! It was brilliant fun and at the end of the day each team came away with one victory.
But when we were searching we found some special eggs too! Who could have hidden them in the room? And inside the eggs was a picture of one of the cupboards in Violet room. What was going on???
There was nothing to do but investigate! The Sunrise kids all went into Violet room and, inside the cupboard, they found a delicious stash of eggs, biscuits and candy – all left courtesy of the Easter Bunny! We certainly enjoyed eating them after lunch!
Afterwards we went to the park where we had a great time doing a bunny race. Everyone put in lots of cute effort as we hopped our way across the park.
All in all it was a fantastic day for everyone at Sunrise!
